Membership fees

Fees for 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021


All ages are welcome to join Purley Canoe Club (PCC), either as Family members or as individual Adult members  

We allow new paddlers to take part in three Club activities before asking them to join PCC. The membership fees payable depend upon your class of membership and when you join the club. In addition there are activity fees & hire fees for all club activities.

Juniors under 10 years of age can only join as “Family Members”

Parents/Guardians must always accompany these junior members and be fully responsible for their actions.

Adult Membership is available for individual Adults of 18 years of age or above

Junior Membership is available for Juniors who are 10 years to 18 years of age.

Please note that a Parent or Legal Guardian must accompany all Juniors (under 18 yrs) on Club events.

Under 10s can only join as Family Members; Parents/Guardians must always accompany these junior members and be fully responsible for their actions.

“Associate membership” is only for Adults and Juniors who do not participate in river trips regularly – ask for more details.

All PCC members who are “PCC Paddlers” (note 5), but not members of British Canoeing (BC) must pay an additional BC Affiliation Fee. PCC pays this affiliation fee to British Canoeing.

The BC Affiliation fee is:-  Junior = £1.50 & Adult = £2.50.

“PCC  Paddlers” are those members who physically paddle with the Club.

“Non PCC Paddlers” are those members who do not  physically paddle with the club e.g. family members who watch from the bank.

Activity Fees & Hire Fees

Purley Canoe Club (PCC) hire fees, pool session  fees and trip fees for Club events are outlined below:-

  1. The Pool Session fee includes boat and equipment hire for pool sessions.
  2. The Weekly Pool Sessions are limited to 6 places and Children’s Pool Sessions are limited to 12 places
  3. Children’s Monthly  Pool Sessions are for children aged 7 to 12 years
  4. All Children must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian
  5. No adults are allowed to paddle at the Children’s Monthly  Pool Sessions
  1. The Day Trip fee is the standard Club trip fee.
  2. However this fee may differ for specific courses or events and any fee changes for specific events will be advertised.

Non members pay an extra £2.00 (non members fee) for Pool sessions, Day trips and all other PCC Events.

  1. All participants are responsible for the Club Equipment they hire and they must sign it in and out, as well as reporting any damages to the activity leader.
  2. Hire Fees will be charged when participants hire Club Equipment from the Club Store or hire / borrow equipment from other Club Members.
  1. Boat Hire includes a boat and a paddle
  2. If you Hire an open boat and paddle it tandem, only 1 person  pays the “Boat Hire Fee”
  1.  Kit Hire includes buoyancy aid,  paddle, spraydeck, cag,etc.
  2. Helmet’s are free.

PCC Activity Consent

All Non Members must complete and sign a  PCC Activity Consent form before they attend any Club Events.

This form will be sent to you before you attend the activity so you can complete and sign the form prior to attending the activity. You will then need to present this signed consent form to the event organiser when you arrive at the event.
