The Club has a number of social events, which include:-
On the last Wednesday of each month, at approximately 8.30pm Purley Canoe Club has a social evening in a Social Club in Purley.
This gives members a chance to talk about recent events, share their experience and tell tall canoe stories.
The Club also publishes a newsletter twice a year called “Clublines” which keeps members informed of the Club’s activities.
Every year the Club has a Christmas party, which usually includes a meal in a local pub.

Purley Canoe Club has an annual awards ceremony at the January social evening, where members are presented with various awards Including:-
- The PCC Adult Touring Award
- The PCC Junior Touring Award
- The PCC Coaching Award
Purley Canoe Club celebrated it’s 25th Anniversary with a Camping Weekend from the 10th to the 12thJune 2016 on the River Medway in Kent.
Our Club President and founder, Noel Humphrey commented:-
“I am sure you all agree that the 25th Anniversary weekend was a great success. This was probably the biggest event in terms of numbers that we have ever organised and would not have happened without the contribution of many people.”
Purley Canoe Club was awarded Sports England Clubmark accreditation in October 2012.
The Club celebrated this achievement, on the 30th January 2013 with a Club Mark party at our monthly social evening.
Councillor Donald Speakman and Lynn Barker, Canoe England Paddlesport Development Officer, were among the many guests.
The Club has maintained its “Clubmark” accreditation ever since.
