Who are we ?
Purley Canoe Club (PCC)
PCC was formed in 1991 to promote paddlesport activities, including canoeing and kayaking activities. Our Values, Purpose and Vision enable us to achieve this goal.
- The Club is Affiliated to British Canoeing
- The Club has Coaches and a Committee” who manage the Club, safely.
- In July 2022 we were accredited as a British Canoeing Quality Club.
- In November 2022 we were accredited with British Canoeing Champion Club for Clear Water Clear Access.
Membership Fees
Club Members pay a Membership fee when they join the Club and they pay Activity fees for Club Events. The Club now has members in Purley, Croydon, Sutton and beyond.
The Club also has boats and equipment available for hire.
An Elected Committee
Purley Canoe Club is effectively managed by an Elected Committee, in accordance with the Club’s Constitution, in order to achieve our Values, Purpose and Vision.
The Club’s Committee and individual Committee Members have a Duty of Care to ensure the Safety of all participants on Club Events.
The Committee also has a Duty of Care to Safeguard any participants on Club events, from Abuse.
British Canoeing Coaches
The Club has a number of British Canoeing qualified Coaches who are able to provide both canoe and kayak training.
Our Coaches work with the Committee to provide a variety of Club Paddlesport Activities
British Canoeing Quality Club
In October 2012 Purley Canoe Club was accredited as a Sports England Clubmark accredited Club. However this has now been superseded by our British Canoeing Quality Club and Champion Club accreditation’s in July 2022.
